PULSE, Squamish BC
Located in the lush heart of Squamish, BC, our anticipated PULSE Project situates itself as an extension of nature through sustainable design. The collection of 25 3- and 4-bedroom eco-friendly townhomes embodies a contemporary architectural style using a modern material palette. Each 4-storey townhome boasts a private rooftop deck. Every roof incorporates a south-facing tilted overhang; a feature that encompasses the essence of the entire PULSE Project:
- The south-facing tilt maximizes the solar power generation potential. This feature will generate energy for every home.
- The cascading structure of the roof mimics the beauty and strength of a cliff face. An architectural design that not only fits but accentuates the grace of our surroundings.
The PULSE design and its sustainable technology are inspired by and indebted to the surrounding environment. An outdoor community gathering space was critical to making the vision for this project come to life – building a truly sustainable “community”. The North Plaza contains a covered seating area, children’s play space, and an open basketball court, while the back of the site offers trail access to peaceful, deep forest. To protect the integrity of the land, a single driveway entrance with a woonerf* treatment will ensure that the recreational space of PULSE remains expansive and safe.
Every unit in PULSE is designed with triple-glazed windows, thickly insulated walls, zero fueled appliances, and solar photovoltaic roof panels so you can enjoy the freedom of a carbon-free lifestyle. Discover how sustainable living can become your reality with Squamish’s first truly net-zero community.
Woonerf: An urban design concept that originated in the Netherlands which refers to a street or neighbourhood design that prioritizes pedestrians and cyclists over motor vehicles to create a shared space where different modes of transportation coexist harmoniously, with an emphasis on promoting safety, social interaction, and a sense of community.
